Power Engineer (Ploiesti)

The Power Engineer will be in charge in the maintenance Team to ensure the safe operation and the maintenance of industrial tools and equipment used for electricity generation. He will be in charge of the power source of the factory and auxiliary equipment to generate electrical power and to provide heat, light, refrigeration and other utility services for all buildings of the plant. He will be responsible of the reliability of the power supply system to maximize performance.
Power sources control, maintenance:
- Define and supervise Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule, ensure full preventative maintenance is carried out, and lead the team to deliver effectively of the power source;
- Start and shut down power plant equipment, if necessary, control switching operations, regulate water levels (Osmose) and communicate with system operators to regulate and coordinate transmission loads, frequency and line voltages;
- Spend time in the workshop with Maintenance Technicians to control the power cabinets Operate and monitor switchboards and DP cabinet;
- Coach and support technicians assigned to the maintenance work in the performance of their daily repair and maintenance tasks about facilities equipment HVAC, Fire station, Osmose water station;
- Design and develop operations of maintenance and safety procedures for interventions in power station;
- Visually, monitor and inspect power station instrumentation and alarms to ensure transmission voltages and line loads are within prescribed limits and to detect equipment failures, overload, line disturbances or breakdowns.
External interventions on Power Station:
- Will plan the mandatory control with the relevant Subcontractor;
- Prepare all safety documentation and make risk analyse before internal or external intervention;
- Build the following of powering equipment and insert the data in Maintenance software;
- Build the monitoring of Energy consumption with process and maintenance Manager.
Act as Maintenance expert for the projects of new line and/or new products:
- Represent Maintenance department for Powering and connecting Equipment;
- Validate the condition of connections of machinery;
- Participate in building power design in case of building improvement and new building;
- Alert other teams on Powering issues (balance of power in Transformer room);
- Give feedback and contribute to projects.
Transfer knowledge by training Maintenance teams:
- Train the Maintenance department on powering process and help them to improve;
- Participate in the development of Maintenance standards (including control procedures);
- Work hand in hand with Industrialization Team in order to optimize power consumption.
- Education: Technical Electric University (Engineer – Master);
- High Voltage intervention agreement, license;
- Relevant experience: Minimum 5 years of manufacturing, fabrication, or related industry experience;
- Knowledge of general electrics and powering skills: electricity;
- Knowledge of problem resolving methods & analysis methods (i.e. FMEA);
- Computer knowledge: Microsoft suit, SAP;
- Knowledge of project management methods;
- Languages: English (Fluent level).
